Ermioni

It is surrounded by the sea and its unique structure gives the impression of an island. Ermioni exists for many centuries as it has been inhabited since 3000 B.C. Its shores were rich in shells that were used to produce porfira (the dark red color used in coloring).

A walk in Bisti, the pineforest peninsula at the east side, on the edge of the town. Several temples were built in Bisti and in all Historical periods it was surrounded by walls, ruins of which can be seen until today. Bisti is an ideal place for walking. During summer months, you can swim in one of the small beaches with crystal clear waters that surrounds it. Don't forget to visit the other side of Ermioni, called Madrakia with cafes, clubs and restaurants. You can visit the Toys Museum, the Folklore museum, the Taxiarches church which was built on the walls of an ancient temple and Aghioi Anargiroi monastery (6 km) which is a brilliant sample of Byzantine architecture.
